Meta Platforms and Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax) have partnered to develop 837 MW of new solar and wind projects across Rajasthan and Karnataka, taking their total collaboration to over 900 MW of renewable energy capacity in India.

Under the agreement, CleanMax will develop and operate the projects, while Meta will purchase 100% of the environmental attributes from the 837 MW capacity. This will help Meta match its electricity use with 100% renewable energy and reduce emissions across its value chain.

The partnership builds on their existing relationship and reflects the growing role of corporate renewable energy deals in accelerating India’s clean energy transition through large-scale capacity additions.

Kuldeep Jain, Founder and MD of CleanMax, said the collaboration supports the need for clean energy to power digital and AI-driven infrastructure. Amanda Yang, Head of Clean and Renewable Energy at Meta, said it advances Meta’s renewable energy goals and supports clean energy growth in India.
