A recent Gartner report has identified Infineon Technologies AG as the company to beat in AI data center power semiconductors, citing its broad product portfolio, manufacturing strength and early investments in advanced technologies. While competition in silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) is increasing, Gartner notes that Infineon continues to strengthen its position through its system-level expertise and comprehensive power
solutions.
Infineon offers a complete “grid-to-core” portfolio covering every stage of AI data center power delivery, from power supplies and energy storage systems to processor-level power management. This integrated approach helps improve efficiency, reduce energy losses and support more sustainable AI infrastructure.
The company combines silicon (Si), SiC and GaN technologies to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient power solutions for next-generation AI data centers, particularly emerging 800 VDC architectures.
Beyond data centers, Infineon is expanding its role in physical AI by supporting robotics, autonomous systems and industrial automation with its expertise in power management, sensing, connectivity, safety and security. The company expects AI-related revenue to reach €2.5 billion by fiscal 2027, driven by growing demand across the AI ecosystem.
