Wide range of passive components and two interactive demo applications on display.

Panasonic Industry Europe announces its participation at the Engineering Design Show (EDS) in Birmingham, taking place from 9-10thOctober 2024 in Coventry. Visitors to the Panasonicat the booth E78 will have the opportunity to explore a wide portfolio of cutting-edge passive components, ideally suited for modern mobility, industry, and smart applications.

Key products on display will include the 6DoF inertial sensor, which provides smart safety monitoring across various mobility applications, as well as the innovative Grid-EYE thermal sensor, latest-generation resistors, and advanced capacitor technologies such as hybrid capacitors, polymer capacitors, and the most recent electrolytic capacitors.

Attendees can experience Panasonic’s advanced technology firsthand through two interactive demo applications:

Polymer Hybrid Capacitor Demo: A dynamic toy racetrack demonstration showcases the superiority of Panasonic’s polymer hybrid capacitors, featuring 1000 microfarad capacitance. This innovative technology allows for fewer capacitors with the same capacitance, reducing PCB board footprint and enhancing efficiency.

Miniature Grid-EYE Infrared Sensor Demo: Highlighting Panasonic’s miniature Grid-EYE infrared array sensors, this demo illustrates human detection capabilities, including person-tracking. The sensor, housed in a compact 11.6x8x4.3mm package, detects heat sources and measures temperature across various applications, from smart homes to air-conditioning systems. A live demo featuring a 60° Field of View (FoV) sensor and Panasonic’s software will demonstrate human detection from a ceiling-mounted setup.

“We invite all visitors to meet our experts and experience Panasonic’s state-of-the-art component technology firsthand,” said Steve Smith, Senior Regional Sales Manager UK. “Our demos will provide valuable insights into how our components can be integrated into tomorrow’s smart and efficient designs.”

Don’t miss the chance to explore the future of engineering design with Panasonic Industry Europe at EDS Birmingham 2024.
