TTo electronics news depicts that the Bourns’ 15V bidirectional high current power TVS Diode has been made for teh use in high power DC bus clamping applications that will be now available. Thsi is named as PTIS3-015C-TH device that will be moving ahead to claim the current protection scenario of 3kA at 25°C. Typical target applications are exposed AC/DC power supplies, for example in wireless base stations.
This PTVS3 series will also be used in the bidirectional port protection that readily meets IEC 61000-4-5 8/20µs current surge requirements and is RoHS compliant and halogen free. It provides 70 percent of efficiency at 20 degree Celsius.
