Microchip Technology has unveiled its next generation bluetooth Low Energy solutions termed as BLE. This has been qualified as the latest bluetooth 4.2 standard . The IS1870 and the IS1871 Bluetooth LE RF ICs have been established , with the BM70 modules to expand the microchips existing Bluetooth portfolio that will be capable of carrying a worldwide regulatory certifications and Special Interest Group certification called as SIG. Basically these Microchip’s BLE devices are integrated , certified Bluetooth 4.2 device firmware stack. The company claims to provide 2.5 times faster data transfer with this technology at at a higher rate of connection security. That will be supported with FIPS based secure connection.
Data is sent and received over the transparent URAT mode, that allowed its integrating with the processor, The Module also supports the hostless operations on the applications. This diminishes the power consumption to extend the battery life at the form factors as small as 4 x 4mm .
