The FEM comes in a tiny 3 mm × 3 mm form factor to minimize layout area in Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) applications such as Internet of Things (IoT) client devices, wireless routers, customer premises equipment, and access points.

The Qorvo QPF4526 FEM, available from Mouser Electronics, integrates a 5 GHz power amplifier; a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch; and a low-noise amplifier with bypass. The module’s power amplifier is optimized for a 5 V supply voltage, conserving power consumption while maintaining the highest linear output power and leading-edge throughput. The high-performance FEM provides a transmit gain of 33 dB and a receive gain of 14.5 dB, with a 1.9 dB noise figure.
