The u-blox ODIN W2 multi-radio module has achieved both ATEX and IECEx certification for use in explosive atmospheres. The ATEXDirective(2014/34/EU), valid for Europe, and IECEx certification, valid in most regions outside the EU, require equipment to be designed and tested to ensure it does not initiate an explosion, due to an electric arc or high temperature of this equipment.As a certified module, ODIN W2 is an easy and cost-effective way to integrate wireless connectivity into devices designed for use in such hazardous environments.
