As per the reports that has been submitted to the Delhi Government last year it states that during the winters 24 percent of the vehicle contribute to PM 2.5. As per the Vehicular Emission that it may come down to 51 percent by just implementing BS VI norms in the country and specially the Delhi capital. These observations that were made was seen by the home ministry Satyender Jain and Environment Minister Imran Hussain by the scientists involved in the study from 2013 to 2015.
It has been said that if the diesel engine vehicles are there and is equipped with DPF taht is Duesel Particulate Filter than the reduction will be 60 to 90 percent . “This reduction in emission will reduce the ambient air concentration by 10 micrograms per cubic metre (ug/m3),” it said.
