Q 1)  Tell us about Siglent’s journey in India.

We have been having a strong presence in India from almost more than two decades. We started our journey as an ODM supplier to some Indian Companies for our entry level Test & Measuring Products, That includes Digital Storage Oscilloscope , Waveform Generator , DC Power Supply.

Many MSME companies , small scale industries , startups started using these products. Needless to say, most of the academic institutions undergraduate/post graduate engineering , science institutes , polytechnics , ITI’s are having good product population.

The Industries , R&D organisation has witnessed the quality , performance, and the support . This has built their confidence and trust in us as an OEM. Our dedicated channel partners opened the doors for high end products for which we are known.

Now, many leading organisations , industries are using our high-end Time Domain & RF Domain Test & Measuring products which includes High Bandwidth – High Resolution 12 Bit Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers , RF Signal Generators , Vector Network Analyser and many more.

We decided from beginning to be little bit selective in appointing channel partners. As end of the day, we have to see the channel partner should give a techno-commercially satisfactory experience to customers. As of now we have 5 authorised tier 1 channel partners across India. We have plans to expand our network to increase reach and tap unaddressed market.

Q 3)  What type of products do you have for the automotive industry ?

If we talk about products from our range for automotive industry, then we need to broadly understand different segments of testing in automotive.

ECU :  Electronic Control Unit . It is the heart of modern vehicles. It controls engine, air conditioning, steering, camera, brakes, wireless communication and other systems to form an in-vehicle network system. ECU has embedded system part and needs to exchange data between different nodes at a high speed and specifically use UART , I2C , SPI bus protocol is used . There are two other popular protocol CAN ( Controller Area Network ) & Local interlinked Network (LIN) gives reliable operations of different applications compared to speed. Automotive Design , Testing engineers needs test tools to meet such requirement. We offer

Wide range of Digital Storage Oscilloscope with 12 Bit Vertical resolution, providing low noise floor and with serial bus triggering and decode of all protocol standards UART, I2C, SPI, CAN & LIN. We also have Handheld Oscilloscope with DMM , It is handy , portable which enables user to test wiring in vehicles. It also supports all above said protocol triggering and decode.

DSOs are equipped with Power Analysis Software and High Current Probes in conjunction with DSO allows user to measure large current safely.

Automotive RF Testing :  Modern vehicle Bluetooth , Radar for safe reverse drive , Keyless Operation/ Remote Keys, As lot many electronics and wireless communications is involved into modern vehicles and has to follow and meet the EMI and EMC standards. We provide RF Signal Generator and Spectrum Analyser to test and for pre-compliance testing as well.

Data Acquisition :  As many sensors are involved to monitor temperatures of water & oil , voltage , current , fuel pressure , tyre pressure , battery voltages. These important parameters have to monitored for various test conditions continuously. The Siglent 61/2 Digit and 51/2 Digit DMM with Scanning card provides Data Acquisition System to map this data for reference , study and testing.

High Wattage DC Power Supply can be used to simulate the battery condition while development and testing different circuits. The same way arbitrary waveform generator can be used to simulate different signals for testing electronic circuits.

Q 4)   Please tell us something about SPS6000X Series Programmable Switching DC Power Supply ?

This series has two versatile models delivering maximum power of 1500Watts with voltage/current configurations as 200V/25A & 100V/50A. This product has excellent voltage and current resolution of 10mV/10mA , User can connect 5 units in parallel to derive 7500 Watts . Q 5)  What are the features of the newly launched product of your company  ?

The recently launched product is in RF Domain. Vector Signal Generator Model SSG6082A-V. This is a 8GHz RF Signal Generator with 1GHz RF Modulation Bandwith and Frequency Setting Resolution of 0.001Hz. Q 6)  Where does Siglent see itself in the next 5 years in the Indian Market  ?
