Deformable electronics circuits set to enable new types of product

CMST and IMEC are set to associate with lab at Ghent university to develop a thermoplastically deformable electronic technology. This technology is said to be enabled with the creation of the low cost of 2.5 D free form rigid electronic technology and object. This technology will be brought into practice by Phillips for th e basic use of LED lamp carriers and a downlight muninare.

This approach will be basically based on the description of the mender shaped interconnects . the partners is the basic robust technique that will be created dynamically stretchable electric  elastic circuit that will include LED’s in it , further it will b e induced and embedded in the therpmoplasic polymers. According to CMST and IMEC this technique will not only work with novel lamp designs but also with novel ambient intelligence and wearable products.
