Microchip has recently completed the acquisition of the Atmel that will be in short reducing the price by some undisclosed amount as it has struck a deal.  According to the CEO of the company Steve Sanghi, pictured, Microchip’s chairman and CEO, he said that they were engaged in the discussions following the same since august 2015 and now they believe that inventory channels along with distributors will lead to concerns  they took some of this weakness into consideration in dropping the final acquisition price from our original offer.”
