Toyo Technica to Launch VIAVI 1.6T Ethernet Testers on June 10

Untitled

Toyo Technica Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshiya Kono) will begin sales of the “TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance,” a new model of the next-generation networkperformance tester “TestCenter” manufactured by VIAVI Solutions Inc. (Headquarters: Arizona, USA; President and CEO: Oleg Khaykin), on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

This solution is an advanced test platform specifically designed for 1.6T (tera) class next-generation Ethernet networks running AI workloads. It enables comprehensive verification of network performance, reliability, and interoperability in the construction of increasingly high-speed data centers, AI infrastructure, and cloud environments. Toyo Technica will introducethis solution at “Interop Tokyo 2026,” which will be held at Makuhari Messe for three days starting Wednesday, June 10, 2026. This solution has also been nominated as a finalist for the “Best of Show Award” at “Interop Tokyo 2026”.

[Background/Summary]

In recent years, with the widespread adoption of AI, AI workloads have expanded rapidly, and next-generation cloud architectures have advanced. This has led to extremely high levels of performance, scalability, and reliability being required of networks used in hyperscale data centers and cloud data centers. In particular, AI backend infrastructure is seeing a significant increase in communication speeds from 400G and 800G to 1.6T, and the construction of large-scale, diverse AI clusters combining multiple complex, high-speed networks is progressing.

On the other hand, conventional network verification technologies are not sufficient to meet the performance and scalability requirements of AI and next-generation cloud environments, resulting in network bottlenecks and delays in service deployment. Against this backdrop, the importance of test solutions that can perform high-speed, large-scale network verification in advance, simulating actual operation in a multi-vendor environment, is increasing. Therefore, Toyo Technica has begun sales of the “TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance,” designed for 1.6T class next-generation Ethernet networks, to achieve even higher speed and larger-scale network verification than before.

The “TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance” enables comprehensive verification of performance, scalability, robustness, reliability, and interoperability in state-of-the-art high-speed Ethernet environments.

With scalable traffic handling capabilities and industry-leading traffic generation and analysis functions, it enables full-scale network verification, including AI workload emulation. This allows network equipment manufacturers, cloud providers, and data center operators to confidently deploy networks capable of handling the high-volume, high-load data communication demanded by AI-driven applications, while shortening development cycles and improving operational efficiency.

Toyo Technica will continue to contribute to the construction of next-generation communication networks by providing a variety of cutting-edge measurement solutions.
