Saelig Unveils DG6000 Series 1GHz 16-bit AWGs

dg6052

Rigol’s new-generation flagship signal source features 4-channel high-voltage differential direct-drive capabilities. Without the need for an external power amplifier and balun, it can output strong, isolated 20Vpp signals or 350ps ultra-fast square waves.

Saelig Company, Inc (www.saelig.com) has introduced the Rigol DG6000 Series 16-bit 1GHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator Series, with up to 2.5GSa/s sample rate and 256Mpts/ch memory depth (512Mpts/ch optional). DG6000 multi-functional instruments integrate Function Generator, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Noise Generator, Pulse Generator, Harmonics Generator, and Analog/Digital Modulator in a single all-in-one cost-effective unit. There are four models in the series:  DG6052 (2-ch 500MHz), DG6054 (4-ch 500MHz), DG6102 (2-ch 1GHz), DG6104 (4-ch 1GHz), all offering full-channel isolation and clean distortionless signals.

The large 10.1” color touch screen allows for both configuring and viewing the waveform parameters simultaneously.  Web control functionality permits easy remote operation as well. In High Bandwidth mode, the DG6000 can output a square wave signal with a rise time of only 350ps, providing a near-ideal step response for testing high-speed digital interfaces and evaluating system transient responses. A stable, low-jitter high-frequency square wave output is essential in meeting the extreme stress testing requirements of high-speed logic circuits. The instrument’s 16-bit vertical resolution provides four times the resolution of traditional 14-bit instruments, and, combined with a low-noise design, this makes the superposition of even minute signals clearly visible, eliminating dynamic range limitations.

DG6000 Waveform Outputs:

  • Output Mode Continuous, Modulation, Sweep, Burst, Advanced
  • Continuous Sine, Square, Ramp, Pulse, Noise, Arb, DC, Harmonic
  • Modulation AM, FM, PM, SUM, ASK, FSK, PSK, PWM
  • Sweep Linear, Log, Step
  • Burst N-cycle, Gated
  • ±10 V high-voltage differential signal output

Rigol’s new-generation flagship signal source features powerful 4-channel high-voltage differential direct-drive capabilities. Without the need for an external power amplifier and balun, it can output a strong 20Vpp signal and a 350ps ultra-fast square wave. From DC to 1GHz, from millivolts to 20Vpp high voltage, the RIGOL DG6000 Series Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator provides a reliable, all-around isolated-channel signal source for even the most challenging connectivity problems. These AWGs are available now from Saelig Company, Inc., Rigol’s USA technical distributor.
