New power-dense DIN-Rail AC/DC suits demanding environments.

RECOM is launching the RACPRO1-S480, a new cost-effective and compact DIN-Rail PSU rated at 480W in convection cooled environments from -40°C to +60°C, in a format of just 135 x 140mm, 52mm wide. Additionally, the parts can deliver 576W up to 45°C and 720W for five seconds, avoiding the need to over-specify a converter to cope with surge loads. The maximum operating ambient temperature is +70°C. Adjustable outputs are available in 24VDC and 48VDC, with a DC-OK signal provided. A valuable feature included is an extended return voltage immunity of more than 35V at 24V and 63V at 48V for back-feeding loads such as decelerating motors. Constant current or parallel modes can be selected. Input is universal single-phase AC with active power factor correction and inrush limiting, or 88V to 370VDC. No load power consumption is 4.2W maximum.

Global safety standard certifications include IEC/EN/UL 61010-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201. Standard EN 61000-6-4 Class B for radiated and conducted emissions is met, as is EN 61000-6-2 for immunity.

The RACPRO1-S480 series features simple tool-less mounting and 25° push-in electrical connectors. Conservative design and high efficiency of up to 95% help the parts to achieve excellent reliability and a long lifetime expectancy of 98,000 hours at 40°C. Weight is just 780g

“These market-leading DIN-Rail PSUs are ideal for a wide range of demanding industrial applications such as factory and building automation, energy distribution, test and measurement, infrastructure, data/telecom, and more”, comments Michael Peters, Business & Product Manager of RECOM.

Parts include a three-year warranty. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
