Key Areas of Responsibility
Specializes in electronic hardware development, designing and optimizing advanced electronic circuits to meet performance and reliability requirements from concept through product release. Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility and support innovation in electronic system design.
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting systems, subsystems, or components as part of an overall architecture. Ensures that engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and aligned with project goals and industry standards.
Incorporates the latest technologies and research findings into engineering designs and design guidelines.
Works with an outside-in approach to understand and meet customer and market requirements, while also evaluating competitive alternatives. Collaborates with global competence teams and research organizations to stay updated on the latest innovations and technical developments.
Designs, develops, and tests systems or components based on design requirements and prepares specifications for products and related propositions.
Supports the creation and protection of intellectual property, including patents, trade secrets, and copyrights.
Prepares, updates, and maintains development reports and project deliverables.
Depending on the role and grade, contributes to and drives technology road mapping activities.
Depending on the grade, provides coaching and mentoring to team members to promote the effective use of available knowledge and skills, both internally and externally.
Critical Experiences
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field, with a strong foundation in electronic circuit design and hardware development.
Experience in electronic hardware research and development, including the design, prototyping, and testing of electronic components and systems.
Relevant certifications in electronics design or hardware development, such as IPC Designer Certification, are considered an advantage. However, no mandatory licenses are required to perform the core responsibilities.
