Hardware Engineer – Power Electronics

Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in validating hardware designs using circuit simulations and prototype testing.
*Carry out testing and experimental verification for new product developments as per the product roadmap.
*Support end-to-end hardware development, including component selection, schematic creation, and coordination with the ECAD team for PCB layout and implementation.
*Design and perform electrical, functional, and environmental validation tests to ensure product quality.
*Conduct FMEA, derating studies, and reliability assessments to improve product robustness and performance.
*Contribute to DFX initiatives, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and overall product lifecycle management.
*Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
*Prepare and maintain technical documents such as BOMs, circuit schematics, design review reports, test plans, validation reports, FMEA records, and reliability documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
*Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics with 2–5 years of experience in designing and developing power converters or inverters.
*Strong knowledge of power converter topologies, closed-loop control systems, and compensator design techniques.
*Experience in designing high-frequency magnetic components and managing thermal performance in power converters.
*Hands-on experience with power semiconductor devices and high-power converter systems, preferably rated at 100 kVA or above.
*Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent software.
*Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for power electronics hardware.
*Good understanding of FMEA, derating principles, and reliability engineering practices.
*Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
*Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
