Job Description
Be involved in designing and developing the next generation of iPhones, from the initial concept stage to full-scale production.
Work as the flexible or rigid board integrator, collaborating with PD, Layout, DFM, and Technology teams to develop and fine-tune designs throughout the product lifecycle.
Take ownership of electrical engineering activities at the contract manufacturer’s site, supporting builds from Prototype, EVT, and PVT while representing the EE team across multiple functions.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical engineering issues related to system architecture, power, thermal performance, manufacturing, quality, failure analysis, PCB layout, schematic design, and system integration.
Perform hardware bring-up and debugging for both high-speed and low-speed interfaces such as I2C and SPI.
Read and analyze schematics, PCB layouts, and CAD files to trace signal paths, conduct design experiments (DOEs), and identify root causes of technical issues.
Lead hardware bring-up activities for NPI programs by working closely with DFM, RF, and Audio teams to resolve cross-functional challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good understanding of the complete hardware development cycle, including concept design, schematics, board development, system bring-up, and debugging.
Hands-on experience with one or more areas such as high-speed bus design, low-power design, USB, audio/video interfaces, wireless technologies, memory buses, or other industry-standard protocols.
Practical experience using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
