63 year old Bengaluru man travels 3,000 km in self-built solar electric powered car

Here we are talking about a 63 year old man from Bengaluru who has participated in the Indian International Science fair (IISF), that held on Monday. He has used his self developed solar car to participated and has covered around 3000 km from bengluru to Delhi.  His name is Syed Sajjan Ahmed and he covered the sistance in 30 days that also included crossing the Vindhyas. He is basically a class 12 dropout and there after he began his career as a fruit vendor and then electric shop. He has been working with electronic goods that included TV, tape recorders, and now computers to fulfill his childhood dream to do something big. 

At 50 he realized that now its time he should do something extravagant and he started by modifying a two wheeler that has to run on electric power and then later a four wheeler.  He has bagged up the karnataka Governments’ award for the work of environment protection in 2006 for his innovations.  He has used solar panels each with a capacity of 100watts and thus made it able to pass the trek of 3000km. The power is generated using the bank of six batteries of 12 volt and 100 amps. He marks Dr A P J Abdul Kalam as his inspiration and want to take it further.
