Magnetic memory technology for more secure ID cards

images

While talking about credit cards, RF chips as stable form of memory, has proven to be less secure as they could be read by passers by using RF reader, but on the other hand the memory devices made up of magnetic field needs to be in close area to the memory, hence providing more security.

At the university of Nebraska, the defence authority of Naval and Us Army had taken steps in developing magnetic permeability  using magnetic memory technology, which is less prone to corruption as compared to conventional memory as they have more  impact of magnetic and thermal exposure causing it to get damaged. Further this would provide more enhanced and secure space ID cards.

Under this technique the magnets are undergone thermal heating with the use of laser to crystallize the amorphous areas of ferromagnetic and thus the crystallined areas have lower permeability than the amporphous exposed areas and hence make it durable.
