Electrocaloric polymer could provide cooling on demand

A new blending of the ferroelectric material has been done that is done under the guidance of the team that is led by  Pennsylvania State University which will be providing the demands for the cooling for chips and small scale systems. It is called as electrocaloric material as it has been already investigated in in order to work properly it will consume energy and heat the material but with the making of this new polymer these both constraints will be diminished and the heat will be absorbed by the material.
If we talk about any typical electrocaloric material than it takes cooling when the field is changing with the use of electric pulses. But in this the team has provide a effect when the field is turned on but no subsequent heating when the field is turned off.
