Maruti Suzuki Indian’s largest car maker company has revealed its new card on the launch of its premium hatchback Baleno that has been priced at Rs. 4.99 in the ex showroom price in Delhi. The Top diesel variant is set for Rs. 8.11 lakh. This car will be giving tough competition to Hyundai Elite i20 that is basically priced at Rs. 5.36 lakh to Rs. 8.30 lakh and Honda Jazz under the segment of Rs. 5.34 lakh to Rs. 8.63 lakh. ” Baleno ” is termed as a ral global model as it will be satisfying the customers not only in India but round the globe, as stated by Maruti Suzuki MD and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa.
It is powered by 1.2 L petrol engine and 1.3 L diesel engine that will be providing 62KW and 55.2 KW respectively. The petrol version is coming with an optional CVT that will be the first ever. Baleno is topping its lower model Swift as it will be 100 kgs lighter than sift platform and 10 % more stronger than swift. That will be offering the car more fuel efficiency of 27.3 KM to a litre with diesel engine and 21.4 KM to a petrol engine variant. India is the first country where it has been launched and it is the first Indian car to support Apple Play Infotainment system, along with dual air bags.
